Images of night scenes never fail to amaze. Pictures are great atmosphere at night, often in shallow, bright, light photos are missing. Clever low-light photos can look simply amazing, and if you are looking for ways to make money from photography, selling art prints of scenes at night in search of a way to achieve this goal. They are very popular.
The main objective of this article is to highlight:
- Night Photography settings and techniques
- Good low-light camerasthe market
Aspect 1: The Basics
Given the amount of available light, there is an exhibition "proper", where just enough to allow light on the camera sensor is to make an accurate representation of the scene - so that the image of us "blown out" too light or because it allows plenty of light, or at the other end, under-exposure image through the dim light.
Three camera settings are changed to control exposure:
a. Opening (orf-stop): This is an inverse relationship - low f-stop values mean more light is allowed
b. Shutter speed: With longer exposure times, the sensor is exposed to light for a longer period
c. ISO / sensitivity of the sensor: high ISO settings, the sensor more sensitive to light
For a given scene, there may be more of a combination of the above settings, you are correct exposure. Your camera's exposure meter, you will learn how to combine them. For example, if youchoose to set the ISO and aperture, the camera the proper exposure time. Or if you choose ISO and shutter speed, the panel will be adjusted accordingly.
If you have the camera on "auto" all three of these variables set by the camera. Photos Good night, however, require that we score more than "self"
2.night Registration
NOTE: One option is omitted night shooting there in a flash - but this is a different kind of concept for a"Nocturne" and I treat them with a thunderbolt by itself in a later article.
a. shoot "open" with a fast lens
This is a good choice for street photographers who want to shoot in low light (but maybe not at night), photos of the road.
Use a good lens that can go to 2.8 or even 1.4 - then a goal that can bring lots of light! This will add a nice depth of surface, the size of your photos, allowing you to take decent startSpeed (about 1/60th of a second). With longer exposure times, probably blurred images when using a tripod.
This is an essential technique if you have an old camera that offers only high quality at low ISO values. But even if you have a good high ISO camera, you can see the beautiful deep depth of field, use the shooting at a lower ISO and aperture wide open
b. Use a tripod and set for more
This is ideal if you want to record aNight scene of an urban landscape, for example, where the subject is not moving, so you have time to set things up.
Ensuring a greater depth by fixing the choice of a medium aperture as f / 8, the camera on a tripod and shooting at the camera selection. Depending on the light in the scene could be a second or a few, to take seriously low ISO sensitivity, even for several minutes.
Tip: The best time to take pictures of views of the city just after sunset, whena little ambient light in the blue sky. If you are in the camera with the objective measures in the sky to determine the correct exposure - the exposure is good, you'll be surprised at the end.
c. High ISO Photos
This is particularly useful (and sometimes unavoidable), if the photos are in an internal event or night, no flash is allowed, or maybe you do not want to use a flash, because it disturbed the scene and destroy the picture.
You canForce the camera to be sensitive to light, increasing the ISO. This opens the possibility of clear photos in dark conditions without using flash or tripod. Why? You will be able to shoot with faster shutter speed helps to keep images sharp ..
Note: There is no such thing as a free lunch. The increase means that ISO is more than a photo noisy / grainy're getting.
3 What the cameras do well in low light conditions?
Some cameras givegreater flexibility in low light, since they make, even at high ISO settings - leaving you full creative control over which of the three options above you choose to take pictures.
Since DLSR cameras tend to be larger sensors, which usually take higher ISO images as compact cameras with sensors relatively small (it is a little 'technical, but it is limited to the laws of physics and electronics-based). The latest digital SLR cameras have full frame sensors for excellent high-ISOPerformance.
